Making and Baking Instructions

Birthday Cake Kit instructions:

YOU WILL NEED:

1 1/2 metric cups (375ml) tap water

1/2 metric cup (125ml) vegetable oil

one 20 cm round baking tin or cake tin of your desired shape.

 

TO BAKE

1: Combine the packet of MIX & BAKE – Easy – Peasy! ® cake mix with water & oil in a large bowl or the bowl of your  mixing machine.  Mix to form a fairly smooth pourable mixture, adding additional plain flour or water if necessary.

2: Pour the mixture into a lightly greased 20cm round cake tin  (or alternative shape tin of an equivalent size – the mixture should only 1/2  fill the tin.)

3: Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.  Test by putting a skewer into the centre of the cake. If it comes out clean then the cake is ready.  Cool upside down on a wire rack.

TO DECORATE

1: Melt the carob buds in a microwave proof jug & heat on the lowest setting for approx 8 minutes.  Take out, stir & return to the microwave for approx 3 minutes on the lowest setting.

2: Place the cake onto baking paper with the smoothest side to the top.  Carefully pour the melted carob over the top of the cake.  You can smooth the topping with a palette knife dipped in very hot water if necessary.

3: Leave the topping to set whilst melting the yoghurt drops in a microwave safe jug for approx 5 minutes on the lowest setting. Stir & return to the microwave for approx 3 minutes on the lowest setting.

4: Pour the melted yoghurt into the piping bag included in the kit.  Carefully snip off a small section of the tip of the bag.  Pipe your message onto the cake. You can practice the writing on  some greaseproof paper & then remelt the yoghurt when you are ready to write on the cake.

5: Celebrate with your dog!

Pupcake Kit Instructions:

YOU WILL NEED:

1 1/2 metric cups (375ml) tap water

1/2 metric cup (125ml) vegetable oil

1 free range egg

for best results use a muffin tray.

 

TO BAKE

1: Combine the packet of MIX & BAKE – Easy – Peasy!  ® pupcake mix with water, free range egg & oil in a large bowl or the bowl of your  mixing machine.  Mix to form a batter

2: Place the paper patty pans into the muffin tray if you have one.  pour the batter – approx 50gm per pan.  The paper patty pans will be approx half full.

3: Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for approx 20 minutes or until golden brown. Test by putting a skewer into a pupcake.  If it comes out clean then the pupcakes are ready. Allow to cool on a wire rack.

TO DECORATE

1: Melt the vanilla yoghurt in a microwave proof jug & heat on the lowest setting for approx 6 minutes.  Take out, stir & return to the microwave for approx 2 minutes on the lowest setting.  Do the same for the strawberry yoghurt in a separate jug once the vanilla has melted.

2: Spoon the vanilla & strawberry yoghurt over the top of the pupcakes.  Decorate straight away with sprinkles & jelly beans.

3: Allow to cool.

4: Store in an air tight container for up to one week or in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

Donut Kit Instructions

 YOU WILL NEED:

4/5 metric cup (200ml) tap water

2 tablespoons (40ml) vegetable oil

one MIX & BAKE – Easy-Peasy! ® donut cutter.

one baking tray and rolling pin.

 

TO BAKE

1: combine the packet of MIX & BAKE – Easy – Peasy! ® donut mix with water & oil in a large bowl or the bowl of your  mixing machine.  Mix to form a firm dough adding additional plain flour or water if necessary.

2: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and with a rolling pin roll out the dough to approx. 1cm thick. Cut into the donut shape with your MIX & BAKE – Easy- Peasy! ® donut cutter. Gather dough scraps, re-roll & cut again, repeating until you’ve used up all the dough.

3: Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for approx 20 minutes or until golden brown. Test by putting a skewer into a donut.  If it comes out clean then the donuts are ready. Allow to cool on a wire rack.

TO DECORATE

1: Melt the vanilla yoghurt in a microwave proof container & heat on the lowest setting for approx 8 minutes. Take out, stir & return to the microwave for approx 3 minutes on the lowest setting.  Do the same for the strawberry yoghurt in a separate container once the vanilla has melted.

2: Dip the top of the donut into the melted vanilla or strawberry yoghurt.  Sprinkle before the yoghurt sets.

3: Allow to cool.

4: Store in an air tight container for up to one week or in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

3: Place the cut out biscuits on a lightly greased baking tray.

4: Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.  Allow to cool. For a slightly harder biscuit turn the oven off and allow the biscuits to cool in the oven.

Carob Chip Cookies

YOU WILL NEED:

2/3 metric cup (160ml) tap water

1/4 metric cup (60ml) vegetable oil

extra wholemeal flour for rolling & a baking tray

 

1: Mix the packet contents with the water and oil in a large bowl or the bowl of your mixing machine. Mix to form a fairly  smooth firm dough.

2: Transfer the dough to a work surface. In your hands, take some of the mix & roll it into a ball to suit the size of your dog.

3: Place the balls on a lightly greased baking tray. Press down with the back of a fork to flatten them.

4: Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.  Allow to cool. For a slightly harder cookie turn the oven off and allow    the cookies to cool in the oven.

Makes approx. 30 medium sized cookies

Store in an air tight container for up to 4 weeks (or freeze).

Banana Muffins

 YOU WILL NEED:

1 free range egg

1 1/2 metric cups (375 ml) tap water

1/4 metric cup (60ml) vegetable oil

a muffin tin or 18 paper patty pans

 

1: Combine the packet contents with water, oil and egg in a large bowl or the bowl of your mixing machine.  Mix to form a  smooth pourable batter.

 

2: Divide the batter into 18 lightly greased muffin tins or pour into the paper patty pans

3: Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.  Test by putting a skewer into the centre of a muffin. If it comes out clean then they are  ready.  Allow to cool.

Makes approx. 18 muffins

Store in an air tight container for up to 1 week (or freeze).

Liver, Fruit & Veg Muesli Bars

YOU WILL NEED:

1/2 metric cup (125ml) tap water

2 tablespoons (40ml) vegetable oil

extra wholemeal flour for rolling, rolling pin, baking tray &

a MIX & BAKE – Easy-Peasy!  ® bone cutter

 

1: Mix the packet contents with the water and oil in a large bowl or the bowl of your mixing machine.  Mix to form a fairly moist firm dough.

2: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and with  a rolling pin roll out the dough to approx. 10mm thick.  Cut into the shape with your bone shaped cutter. Gather dough scraps, re-roll & cut bone shaped muesli bars again, repeating until you’ve used up all the dough.

3: Place the cut out muesli bars on a lightly greased baking tray.

4: Bake in a preheated 150°C oven for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.  Allow to cool. For a slightly harder muesli bar turn the oven off and allow the muesli bars to cool in the oven.

Makes approx. 20 bone shaped dog muesli bars

YOU WILL NEED:

Water and  vegetable oil,extra wholemeal flour for rolling, rolling pin,

baking tray & a Mix & Bake – Easy-Peasy! ® pizza paw cutter.

 

1: mix the flour contents with 2/3 metric cup (150ml) water and 1 1/2 tablespoons (30ml) oil

in a large bowl or the bowl of your mixing machine. Mix to form a fairly  firm dough.

Allow to rest for 10 minutes.

 

2: transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface. With a rolling pin

roll out the dough to approx. 7mm thick.  Spike the dough with a fork all over.

cut into the shape with your pizza paw cutter. Gather dough scraps, re-roll,

spike the dough & cut pizza paws again, repeating until you’ve used up all the dough.

 

3: place the pizza paws on a lightly greased baking tray.

 

4: bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 15 minutes or until cooked through.

 

5:  whilst the pizza paws are cooling mix the topping ingredients in the cellophane bag with

2 tablespoons (40ml) of tap water & 1 tablespoon (20ml) of oil. Mix together and place

approx one heaped teaspoon per pizza paw.  Spread out & press onto the pizza paw.

 

Makes approx. 24 paw shaped dog pizzas.

Store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days (or freeze).

3: place the balls on a lightly greased baking tray.

 

4: bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about approx 22 minutes

or until golden brown.      Allow to cool.

 

Makes approx. 300 training treats.
